On a recent trip to Rotterdam with G-Star, I was blessed with the opportunity to stay at the Hotel New York - honestly, I had low expectations!
That all changed when I got my face shaved in the fully kitted barber shop, complete with Aqua De Parma mens fragrance shop, alongside old school chair wet shave with hot towel and head massage to follow - brilliant!
Fabulous hotel. The entry was phenomenal: vaulted ceilings, historic memorabilia on the walls. And then the room, can we still call it a room or should we call it a suite. It is tastefully designed to maintain the historic feeling but with updated and contemporary design. All rooms are different though, mine was 216.
Recommend a trip to the bar. It was a lively place even on a monday night. If my business travels take me back to Rotterdam I will definitely stay here again. Ranks in my top 100 Hotels of the world.
